Food

Cooking's great. Like the best way to prepare food.

Chicken with a mushroom pan sauce, baby arugula salad and roasted potatoes. Pretty tasty dins.

I wish I had jokes about food that didn't include the words "I", "eat too much" and "I regret it".

Idols

It’s always great to see one of your idols and not be disappointed. Carl Turnbull (seriously my favourite Vancouver comedian and a dear friend - https://www.instagram.com/turnbullcomic) and I went down to Seattle to not only eat Paseo sandwiches but to also see Pablo Francisco.

He was great. So silly and fun and totally met expectations. Did a meet and greet after. He was nice to both of us. Gold.

Marc Jordan - Margarita (1983)

Verse 1:

Margarita you've been cryin'
I watch your tears waiting in line
It's really not your town
You dream of Mexico
It never was your town
seems like a life time ago

You and your sister
Got torn apart
Strangers and lovers
Broke your heart

Chorus:

Step over the border line
Margaratita will you be mine
Oh you think that love's a game
Step over the border line
Margarita
Baby will you be mine

Verse 2:

You learn how to drink and dance
Walk the streets and take a chagne
nobody knows you
they just call out a name
nobody loevs you
they think love's a game

But I know you
And you broke my heart
It's just bad luck
That keeps us apart

Chorus:

Step over the border line
Baby you broke my heart
Margarita will you be mine
Baby you think you'll love again
Step over the border line
Margarita
Margarita

Bridge:

Baby you broke my heart
If you just think that love's a game
You're tearing me apart

*Solo*

Chorus

Baby you broke my heart
Step over the border line
Margaratita will you be mine
Step over the border line
Margarita
Baby will be mine

Nanette

The last time I wrote a blog post was about 12 years ago when I was trying to process a breakup. I wrote candidly about my thoughts and feelings, and then she read them and we fought and shit. Ugh. Lesson learned: clear browsing history.

So, what's the point of this post?

I watched Hannah Gadsby's special Nanette. It was fine.
